Ms. Anika Arora works as a Scientist at the Development of Skilled Manpower (DESK) Program at IITM.
She is currently doing a Ph.D. program titled "Tropical Biennial variability of Western Ghats rain and its mechanisms".
Ms. Anika Aroara is working on the variability of Western Ghats Rainfall on multi-time scales. Her focus is basically on the TBO period. Western Ghats rainfall tends to show biennial oscillations distinct from the core monsoon zone of central India. Identifying the variability, its mechanism, how they are different from central India biennial oscillation, etc. are the main focus of her study. She uses observational data and atmospheric models to investigate this issue.
